The images and stories that are emerging in the aftermath of another school shooting that occurred at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas are heartbreaking. 19 students and 2 teachers were gunned down by yet another teenage gunman. 27 schools shooting have taken place in the United States this year alone.
Co-Founder, Lady Selders remarks, “It is so terrible to see the scenes, to hear the parents and other loved ones as they try to describe what is indescribable. The loss of lives so young, so full of promise and possibility are just too hard to explain.” Lady Pamela and Bishop JS and our MMCT team send our heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of those killed. We join with so many in recognition of the hurt and harm this type of violence reeks on a community.
We condemn this violent act and stand in solidarity with those who are working on gun regulation, expanded background checks, and other common-sense measures in the days to come. We call on our MMCT family to hold all both near and far who have been impacted by this most recent tragedy in your thoughts and prayers.
